Immense flexibility for content distribution
Continuing our relationship as a long-established technology partner of the University, the project involves the design, installation and support for an extensive digital streaming platform across multiple teaching spaces in the University’s new Teaching and Learning Centre. The project due to be installed in spring 2019, is set to transform the digital experience and enhance the workflow for academics and students alike.
AV inputs in each teaching space will be encoded and then distributed to all display devices on the campus, providing immense flexibility for content distribution and expanded room capabilities, creating truly agile and scalable learning environments. Following on from an earlier successful project in the Calman Centre, content is no longer limited to an in-room audience, allowing lectures to be broadcast to multiple rooms as and when required to meet capacity demands.
HD and on demand content
The new state of the art teaching spaces will incorporate High Definition imagery from Panasonic laser projectors, outstanding intelligibility from JBL line array speakers, Sennheiser Speech Line Digital Wireless Microphones for presenter flexibility and Polycom Group 700 Video Conferencing Codecs for HD quality video from remote presenters. The SVSI environment also provides the perfect infrastructure to support the recently introduced Panopto lecture capture system, enabling lecturers and students to re-visit lectures on demand, 24hrs a day 365 days per year.
This exciting project compliments another education first where we successfully tendered for the contract to provide the largest Crestron NVX deployment at the University of the West of Scotland.
